Welcome to another week of It’s The Little Things Linky! Hosted by Lauren and myself! It’s been a lovely week full of half term madness and so I’m sure we’ll all have lots of little moments to look back on and talk about. My favourite post from last week was from Emily at Ella’s Adobe. I’ve really taken a liking to her blog – it’s beautiful and well worth checking out. Her post this week wasn’t positive though – her mother-in-law’s home had been broken into and all her valuables (including items from her late father-in-law) had been taken. This is absolutely heartbreaking and to think people think it’s okay to break into someone’s home and take their belongings is just awful. I really hope they find the nasty ‘humans’ that have to live with the guilt of this burglary. It’s lovely to see how the community pulled together to show their sympathy. A lovely but sad post – thank you for linking up, Emily.
IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS
Mummy & Daisy time – I said to Daisy that I would take her bowling or to mini golf during the week as a little half term treat. I then said we could have McDonalds and then go pick some sweets (The perfect day in Daisy’s eyes!). So we went to one of our local leisure parks and for some reason I completely didn’t realise how busy it was going to be. We couldn’t get into mini golf or bowling! I felt really bad so instead we went to the arcade (which daisy kept referring to as mini golf!). We then popped over to McDonalds and sat outside eating together. Even though the day didn’t go to plan, it was still really nice to do something just the two of us.
I love you again – I’ve always had to lay with Daisy until she falls asleep – which actually doesn’t bother me – I really love it. She always tell me she loves me and hugs me whilst telling me I’m her best friend. (How can I complain!?). A few nights back she said she loved me to which I replied saying I loved her too. She then went on to say “I love you again” which I thought was so incredibly cute! (The game may have gone on for a while haha). I love watching her fall asleep though – how she’ll be awake one moment and then asleep the next. How relaxed and quiet she looks.
Movie nights – Daisy’s been going to bed at her usual time but then waking up at about 9 for some reason – refusing to go back to sleep. So instead of wasting hours trying to get her back to sleep, I end up laying her on the sofa with me and putting on a movie (she then falls back to sleep, so it’s a win/win!). We’ve watched Shrek, Over The Hedge, Gnomeo and Juliet and Finding Nemo. A few pretty good film choices if I don’t say so myself! It seems this week has been all about mummy and Daisy time which is lovely!
